Five Stages of Competency


When we decide to want something and decide to go for it. The first question that comes into our mind is that “Can I do it?” Right, this happens to everybody. In this article, we will bring you to the five steps to competency. We will see the development how human can change from not be able to do what we want into be able to do without even think about it.

Before we go into those stages, let’s talk about why we need to understand this. In order to be more successful, people need more skills. No matter they are financial skill, career skill, relationship skill etc. We go through this so that we can acquire as many of the skills as we need to succeed. We will understand that what is worth learning or doing, it worth doing badly at first. All learning processes start from exactly the same point. Have you ever notice that most of the skills we start from knowing nothing at all? Let’s say reading. When we were children, we do not know how to read. We started learning to read step by step. Then we started to notice that we can read some of the easy words. After practicing for a long while, we can read for just a glance. Here are the exact the same stages that we need to go through once we decide to acquire a new skill.

1. Unconscious incompetence: In this stage, we have ignorance. We do not know what to do and how to do it. We have no discipline and no skill. People in this stage can not deliver any result in the area. We do not even know that we need that skill in order to perform what we want.

2. Conscious incompetence: We start to notice that we lack the skill on the area. We feel painful and feel that to do the thing is difficult. This is when people start to give up because they know that they can not do it at that moment and they don’t know how. Answer, learn it. Unfortunately, just a handful of people are willing to take a learning step. Not many people have enough discipline to train themselves until they get into the next stage.

3. Conscious competence: After the learning phase, we start to know that we are able to perform. We are not any more afraid of doing it. The things we do are easy now and we have confidence in the area. We have discipline on the skill and our skill grows significantly. We can now be in the mastery mode of the skill.

4. Unconscious competence: Once the skill has been practiced regularly. It becomes your asset. It dwells inside you. You are programmed now to make use of it any time you want to. Discipline is now not a major concerned since it is already there. The good example to this is the musician skill. A musician can stop play his talented instrument for decades. Once he comes back to it, he can still play it fluently. Or driving skill is another unconscious competence. Once you master it, it is now yours.

5. Conscious competence of conscious incompetence: This is the level of the teachers or master trainers. We have higher knowledge of the skills. We realize the area of the skill so well that we can train other people to practice the skill. We understand every aspect and are able to see the weak points of the incompetent people.

The five stages of learning will help us understand the learning process of any skill we require for our success. We can apply and be patient when we are in the lower stage and understand that to move up into the next level require time and efforts. But once you master it, it will be with you forever.

Discipline: Tool to Success


Success is not an overnight story. It is a long list of events and attempts until the objectives are achieved. Yet most of the people forget about this and concentrate on the current results the achiever enjoys. They look at him and say “I wish I could be like him. How luck he is to get such a wonderful reward.” Actually, he is not lucky. He did a series of certain things continuously until he gets those results. He commits himself to the actions that lead him to the status he is having right now. What the achiever has is called “discipline”. We are going to focus on it in this article and learn how to make full use of it in everyday life.

Jim Rohn, a master in personal development science, gives the definition of discipline in his book “Leading an Inspired Life”. He said “Discipline is a constant awareness of the need for action paired with a conscious act to implement that action. If our awareness and our implementation occur at the same time, then we begin a valued sequence of disciplined activity.” What a precise meaning! Discipline again starts in our mind. If we see the need of doing it constantly, we will perform actions. Simple as it is, not many people practice the right discipline. Why not, because doing something means you have to sacrifice doing many other things. This is according to the law of exclusion. We can do only one thing at a time. Besides, practicing discipline means that we need to step out of our comfort zone. We have to risk the uncomfortable state and the failure to immediately get the right results. People can not stand that consequence and therefore unconsciously avoid and cease discipline after doing it for a couple of times. This is normal to the average people. Top achiever, however see discipline as one of the mechanic to lead him to success. There is no shortcut. You may learn some techniques but you still need to apply those techniques into your daily activities. In order to make our discipline last until we achieve what we want. I have laid out five steps in practicing discipline including:

1. Make decision that you are going to be successful. Decide no matter what happens you will not stop. Decision is a father of all actions. Once you make a real decision, you will continue your actions constantly.

2. Have your goals. Know what your major goals are. See the reasons why you want to achieve it. See how happy you are going to be if you achieve your goals. See what you are going to give to your family and your love ones. With strong enough reasons, you will proceed to your goals. Break down your major goals into minor goals. Set up the time for those minor goals. Achieving minor goals will reward you with self fulfillment. You will not stop doing if you feel good during the process. Your discipline will automatically be created along the way.

3. Have your concrete plan of action. Write it in paper. Schedule the activities in details. Do as you plan. Take actions incessantly. Acknowledge that the results may not come easily. Understand that no matter how hard you try, you may stumble once in awhile especially in the beginning of the discipline. Once you start to be able to do it continuously, you will get momentum. You will not want to stop when you start to form a habit on your discipline.

4. Review your performance regularly. See what your weaknesses are during your process and correct them along the way. Do not go blindly without knowing your status.

5. Visualize yourself be successful in achieving your goals. Regular visualization will attract situation and attribute favorable to your goals achievement according to the law of attraction.

Discipline is one of the major tools to everyone success. Five steps to make full use of discipline will help enable us to perform our best to achieve what we want.

Facing Tough Time and Visualization


Life is filled with ups and downs. We have both good time and bad time. This is why it is so interesting to lead a life. Imagine if all our life consist only normal and fine environment. We get everything easy and do not have any hurdle to cross. And it is like that until the end of our life. Don’t you think that it will be boring? Without obstacles, life will have no fulfillment. And fulfillment is what we want most in order to grow. So when tough time comes, embrace it with joy. Acknowledge that this is a gift to make us grow beyond we have imagined. Finding a way to overcome it is our assignment. In this article, we will talk about what to do when tough time comes into your life and how to overcome it.

Before we go into the steps of facing a tough time, let’s talk about one of the prerequisite properties that are needed for facing the tough time. This is because without this, it will be a lot more difficult for you to cope with the problem. It is your physical health. You need to have enough energy and vitality enough to face the problem. Some may ask what if the problem is on health itself. In that case, we need to go to separate section on mind only since your body may not function very well. Therefore, don’t wait until your physical gets into trouble since we can not replace it. We can not discard our body like most part of our lives. Some of the illness can not be cured but can be prevented. Learn on that. Find the way to live with the least possible sickness must be one of our goals if we want to enjoy life the fullest. There are only a few chapters we need to know on keeping our health well. They are your knowledge on food, drink, and exercise. Learning on how to have good nutrition, what to drink and what not and how to exercise will be essential in the process.

The steps on facing the tough time include:

1 Be ready in your mind. Your mindset will be the first guard to the reaction you have toward the tough time. We have to understand that this is normal and we need to deal with it by using reasons more than emotion. Once we understand the nature of life, we will not complain. We will courageously face the problem with the ready mind.

2 Write down the problems. You may have more than one single problem. Write all of them down. We may not be able to solve it if we can not see it clearly. Some of the problems may not even be the problems at all after they are written down. Be specific on the problem. After you see it you may be able to see that a lot of problems are more emotional than real problems.

3 Write down all possible solutions. Make analysis on the situation and see what you can do to solve the problem. In this step, we will need some creativity so that we can perform effectively. Do not use reason much on this step. Just see what to do if everything is possible. Try not to limit yourself in the old method of thinking. Think wildly. Get as many choices as you can.

4 Select what is the best choice of yours. See it without prejudice. Einsteine said “We can not solve the problem with the same type of thinking that creates it”. Be aware of that. Some of the choices may seem to be difficult or even impossible. However, most of the practical solution in lives comes from the impossible choices.

5 Write down the step and plan what to do. May be part of your plan needs helps from other people. It normally does. Write down how you are going to approach those people. Write down the time frame for each activity. Write different scenarios if the preceding steps do not work, what will be your alternatives. See it in every angles.

6 Take actions! Do it massively. Evaluate it on the way. Come back to the plan and revise it if you need to. Evaluate it everyday how much you progress in the steps and what you need to improved. Reviewing it daily will not only help you know the situation but also motivate you to do something everyday.

7 Do not stop until the problem is solved. Do not give up. Be persistence on your determination and action. This will enhance your possibilities of helping you out of your tough time.

We all are destined to face tough time one way or another. Seven steps here will help you systematically. You will be able to get out of your tough time easier than you normally do.

Are you in sales? When people are asked by this question, most of them said no. People do not really keen in this profession since it is referred to the pain in going out and beg for order. The pain in facing rejection is so high that a lot of people do not want to relate to that. The fact is, however, everybody is in sales. One way or another, we need to interact with other people. We have to convince others, and persuade them to perform a certain action we desire. That is a sale. Only that your customers may not really be your customers but your boss, parents, spouse, kids, friends or somebody you hardly know. We all live in the world of sales and to master the sales technique will be your valuable asset. In this article we will talk about how to be successful in sales and how visualization can be part of your success in sales.

The following are the steps that are important to any kind of sales process. The process includes:

1 You need to be proud in this profession. Successful salesman is not shy to what they are doing. They take pride of being the one who offer the best product or service available to help solving customers’ problems.

2 You know what to talk to the people. Excellent salespeople do not just talk improvise without preparation. They have rehearsed what they need to talk until they are naturally good at it. So if you desire to be successful in sale, you need to practice and know your line very well before you go out to see the customers.

3 You listen more than you talk. Most salespeople tend to talk their customers until they get annoyed. We need to know that everybody likes to talk out and in this case it is the customer who deserves to talk more. By listening to the customers, we will know the customers’ needs.

4 You ask questions not just talk. Questions reveal what your customers need and want. Therefore do not talk more than asking the questions. Prepare the questions in advance. Think of all possible situations and write down all the questions that will lead to finding out what you need. By questioning, we can separate suspects from prospects, find out customer needs and find out which of our products or services are suitable for them.

5 You have confidence. Good salespeople know their products ins and outs. They used all of their products if possible. They are confident that their product is one of the most suitable choices for the consumers.

6 You dress properly. Due to our contact to vast majority of people, good salespeople know how to dress appropriately. They are particular on their outfits so as their appearance.

7 You care about your customers. The top salespeople want to serve their customers more than take customers’ money. They understand customers’ mind and want to contribute to the highest satisfaction of their customers.
8 You know how to close. Without our products or services, neither the customers nor you yourself will be better off. Closing sales will provide customers the opportunity to enjoy the benefit to your products. Top salespeople close with the goodwill in his and his customers’ mind.

9 You visualize your success in sales. Regular visualization will help you succeed in your sales. Each morning, see yourself going out to see the customers and close graciously. See your customers excitedly sign his purchase and looking forward to receiving the products.

As Brian Tracy says “Life is like a buffet line”. “You need to pay before you get served”. Nevertheless, people expect to get the restaurant service in their life. They want to enjoy the food before they pay it. This is not going to happen in life. In this article, we will talk about how to become the best at what you do and how to get into the few top people in your field.

Have you seen horse race? Do you know that rewards of the horse that come number one is one hundred times higher than the second? Does he run one hundred times faster? No, statistic shows that the horse that come first only a couple of seconds faster than the second horse. This is the same as in human life. Most of the decent workers have a similar quality in each field. However, only a few can be at the top of their field. The top people earn twenty to thirty times higher than the good workers. How to Make Full Use of Visualization


Everything in this world that was created by man was materialized in the mind of the creator before it was made. Man imagines what he wants to make and does it until the shape comes out as he desired. There is a story about the opening of Epcot at Disney World Florida. At the opening ceremony, there was a group of reporters came. A reporter approached Roy Disney, Walt Disney’s brother. He told Roy that it was a pity that Walt did not have a chance to see this. Roy smiled and replied. “Walt sees it first, that is why we get to see it”! This is how visualization works. Do you think that the building we are working in just came out of the paper? No, it was made in the mind of the architect and then he transfer in the paper. That finally comes out to be his plan.

This is the same as your future. If it does not start in your mind, it will never occur. The chance that you just bump into what you want is slim to none. If it is ready in the mind, it is easier for you to get it in real life. Then how we can make use of our visualization? There are five steps in visualization. The steps include:

1. Be prepared: prepare yourself and environment. Find a quiet environment. Busy and loud noise will distract you from visualization and it will not succeed. Slot your time and schedule to do this everyday. Tell your secretary, your friends, or your family members that we need no disturbance during this period. Sit in the chair but do not lie down. Lie down will make you too comfortable and you may fall asleep. Sit comfortably on the chair since we are going to be on it for thirty minutes.

2. List out all the area that you want to fulfill. These are your goals. You are supposed to write our goals down, remember? What do we want financially, spiritually, physically and in relationship? If you already have a list of your goals, take a look at it and memorize it. If you have a very long list, you may need to bring it along to the visualization room.

3. Close your eyes. Visualization with your closed eyes will be more effective than with opened eyes. It reduces disturbance from the environment. Focus on your goals. One at a time, imagine what you want to happen. See it as it is really happened in front of you. Make yourself a third person who witnesses your success. This is not necessary, you can imagine that you are the first person and things happen to you. But that type of visualization is more difficult and need more skill than being the third person.

4. Make the picture or event that you see clear and vivid. The clearer the picture, the better result you will get. Make it a color picture. Make it big and graphic in front of you. Put the life into it. See it as it really happens in front of your mind at that moment.

5. Time your visualization. Make sure that you do it at least twenty to thirty minutes a day. You can use subliminal sound accelerator which will greatly enhance your result. The sound was scientifically proven that will stimulate your subconscious mind and bring into your success.

What is the process of success? Does it happen due to the environment? Do we need to have a good family to be successful? What make some people more successful than the rest? Is there really a single real factor that makes a person stand out and achieve whatever he wants? Yes. Like what Napolean Hill said in his book “Think and Grow Rich”, “All achievement, al earned riches, have their beginning in an idea! All things happen according to your mind. And this relate to your brain to think and imagine. In this article, we will talk about the function of the brain and how to make use of it.

Let’s talk about the brain. The brain works by controlling the function of the body especially automatic nervous system (ANS). It controls our heart beat, blood circulating, breathing, sweating, and all other systems in the body. Another function of the brain is to think. The brain thinks by receiving signals from our receptors of five senses including vision, auditory, olfactory, gustatory, and kinesthetic. If we talk in a layman term they are seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting and touching respectively. The sensory organs send the signals to the brain to interpret the meaning. We interpret it by comparing with the history record that we have to see what meaning we have for the received signals. The brain then orders the body to react according to the result of the meaning it gets from the processing step. This leads to how we feel and respond a certain way to the event. This process is called conscious level function of the brain. Because we know all the way about the process of thinking and interpreting, we call the process conscious. The conscious mind controls how we react to the circumstances. The thinking process in the conscious mind is through the words we communicate to ourselves. It controls the action and reaction including how we perform responsively. The function of the conscious brain is similar to the data processing program in the computer. It take input or what ever you type on, sensory reception, and process, thinking, and finally output onto your screen, action.

The other part of the brain is to control your foundation. If we compare it to the computer, it is similar to the operating software that is embedded into your computer and control behind all the output. This part of the brain does not react responsively to the stimulants but control the conscious mind that do. We call it subconscious mind. The subconscious mind controls our rules how to react and what type of a person we are. It makes what we become. Another interesting function of the subconscious mind is that it can attract the circumstances. There are many evident that the subconscious can work to attract whatever circumstances and attributes we want into our lives. Once we determine to get something and we communicate to the subconscious correctly, it will attract the situation that is favorable to what we want and make it happens to us. This is called “The law of attraction”. How do we communicate with the subconscious? Unfortunately, the mode of receiving function of subconscious is different from the one of conscious mind. Conscious mind works and communicate through words. The subconscious mind however communicates through vision. Yes it works on pictures. This is how visualization comes into place. We order our subconscious mind by visualizing. Regular visualization will attract all the circumstances and attributes that we want into our lives. The subconscious works like the magnet. We also can stimulate our subconscious mind better by using the certain type of sound that can make visualization work more effectively. The sound has scientific proofs and be available for you in the market. Use this type of sound will enhance the power of subconscious mind and stimulate it when we visualize. We visualize what we want in all area for about thirty minutes while having the sound play. The clearer the picture we see, the better attraction we will get. The best time to visualize is in the morning before we set up to work and in the evening before we go to bed. Daily visualization will not only give you determination but also energy and vitality.

The function of our brain can be unbelievably powerful to our success in life if we understand and know how to use it. The stimulation of subconscious mind has even greater effects than one can imagine. Knowing how to make use of it with proper visualization will guarantee success in our lives.

We know that the way we think has the effect to the action we do and finally on the results we get. If we can control our brain especially subconscious part of the brain will dramatically improve our performance toward our success.

Determination and Visualization


One of the key factors to enable you to your success is the determination to get what you want. This type of commitment is a must in doing anything. It seems easy but it is not like it seems. It is difficult since you must understand that you need to sacrifice something. You need to step out of your comfort zone. This article will talk about five steps to build your determination in order to get started with anything you want.

Determination is within our mind. The following steps are also made in our mind to get what we want. The five steps have been proven to work on any occasion. The steps include:

1. Knowing what you want to achieve and why you want it. The origin of all successes is from knowing the destination where you want to go. Decide what you want will let you know the direction you are heading. To have strong enough reason why we need to get it is the key to your determination. We need the reason in doing something. If we get both right and rigid, we are on the way to our success.

2. Knowing that success will not come overnight. If you decide to become a tennis professional, how long you think that you can be? Do you think that you can play with Andre Agussi tomorrow or next week? Of course not. People can relate to sport skill since everyone knows that this type of skill take a long time to develop. They however do not relate the same way when we talk about other skill for example building a business skill, money making skill, selling skill or relationship skill. They expect immediate excellent result or at least what the good result happen in a short period of time. Most people think that it is reasonable to get rich quick since they saw many people do and they are supposed to be able to do that also. Once they have tried a couple of times and do not get what they want, they start to think what have implanted in their mind. They think that it is not possible for them since they have different environment or for some other reason. They would then look for any possible thing that come up so that they can immediately stop what they started and go to another project which they may also do the same. This is a very common pattern happened to the ones who lack or own weak determination. Don’t let this happen to you. Realize that the time setting is important to get the result but you need to be reasonable to your time bound. Make sure that each day you spend enough time to do what you have to do in order to achieve your goals. Do it until you get it. Change your approach if you have to. Tell yourself that everybody has a learning period and you are utilizing it. Talk to yourself that you can be successful. Believe it as well.

3. Stepping out of your comfort zone. This is one of the reason people give up after trying something for awhile. They do not feel comfortable doing what they meant to do. Why not? Because they are doing what they are not used to do. They are not certain on the results and the feeling they will get from doing this. Guess what? Certainty is one of the basic human needs. We want to be certain to feel secure in our mind. Unfortunately if you want to experience what you have not had before you need to step out of your comfort zone. You need to do what you have not done before. You have to experience failure. They are a phrase that you need to collect enough failures until you get one success. This is true. Sacrifice your comfort zone will be one of the major task to do. The good news is your comfort zone will grow after enough attempts. You will develop skills in the new area and will be more and more comfortable.

4. Don’t do nothing. I should not have used double negative sentence since it is grammatically wrong. I never used it but this time is an exception. I did it on purpose. The other side of this sentence is “DO SOMETHING”. This is a pitfall that many people fail once they set up a goal. They want the result to happen but they do not want to do anything. This happens to a majority of people but do not let it happen to you. We need to understand that results happen from what you do not what you wish. We need to do something to make it happen. What are they? Do you have that list? If not, make one up. It is called planning . Sound familiar? Yes it is the plan you make to achieve what you want. Make plan and do it accordingly. Do not accept any reason for not doing it. This is one of the definitions of determination. Do something, please.

5. Seeing yourself as success. Visualization is a major key area in determination. When you see yourself be able to do and achieve what you want, you will get it. Although it is not in anywhere in our school class, law of attraction is well-known for the ones who study success. The law of attraction is as true as the law of gravity by Newton. It says “whatever you believe to happen in your mind will attract the circumstances and attributes you need to have in order to get it.” Unfortunately, the law has been kept for only a small group of elite people. Make use of the law. Believe with your whole-heart that you can achieve what you want. Visualization will help enhancing your success.

Success starts within our mind. We need to believe in what we are doing and where we are heading. We need to see that our destination is real and within our reach. We then need a plan for our action taking. We then need to revise our plan if we do not get what we want. Finally, we can use the law of attraction to attract what we want into our lives so that we can achieve success quicker.

Determination is one of the keys to success. We need to have it in order to achieve what we want. In this article, we talk about five steps to have our determination. The steps can be useful and practical in any given situation.

Self-love and Visualization


We all love our family and are willing to do a lot of things for them. We would like to spend more time with our family members. In the lower age group, young people give a very high value to their friends. They love their friends more than anything else and want to hang out with their friends a lot. For a little older age, they give more importance toward their boyfriend or girlfriend. These represent all the loves we gave away to our love ones. No matter how importance they are, we always forget to give love to another one person who is the most important person in this world to us. It is us.

We live in a society that takes ourselves for grant. We care about other people so much that we forget to give the importance to ourselves. We seldom spend time alone. There is always circumstance and it always pushes us back to the society where we do not have time for ourselves. Do you have the strategy for loving yourself? What have to happen in order to you to feel loved? Let me recommend a few tips for the one who wants to love oneself and give the value strongly to his existence. The tips are:

• Take good care of your health. Health originates all the possibilities in our life. Cherish your body like it is a sacred place. Do not throw in garbage into your body. Learn about nutrition and practice it will help enable the body to be with you for a long time. Make sure that we eat in the right proportion to your body. Make a good choice of food each time you have a meal. Avoid unhealthy foods that can add more weight into your body. Avoid suspicious food that may lead to sickness. Minimize alcohol consumption. Quit it if you can. Do not take drugs or cigarette. Avoid polluted environment and try not to make one yourself. Drink at least eight glasses or two liters of clean water daily. Avoid pop soda, candy, sweets, or ice cream since they can create more acidic environment into your blood. Take care of your weight. Learn about body mass index (BMI) and make your body in the proper range. Over or under weight people have neither good personality nor fine mentality to deal with the situation.

• Spend time alone with yourself. The best time is in the morning when our mind is clear from all negative impact. That is when you have the strongest mind power. Make sure that you slot some interval in your day at least thirty minutes to be with yourself. Tell other people that this is the time that you need to spend with the most important person in the world and you need privacy. Do not use any media during this time. Turn your radio, TV off. Do nothing but be quiet with yourself.

• Feeling of gratitude. Be grateful to be born to be you. You are the most significant person in this world for you. No one else in this world can use your name and can use the same pronoun as you. Not any one in this world can use the word “I” and refer to you except yourself. You are lucky being you and be thankful for that. Be thankful for everything that has happened and brings you here.

• Exercise daily. Do it at least thirty minutes a day. Take both anaerobic and aerobic exercises. Do it alternately if you do not have time. You may find a partner to exercise together so that you can enjoy doing it more. If you do not have time, however, make sure that you do this at least three or four times per week. Making regular exercise to help your cardiovascular’ function be better.

• Visualize yourself as successful. Self visualization will enable you to be stronger and can attract the situation or attributes you want into your life. See yourself in the future achieving all you want. See yourself a very health person with good relationship to your family. See yourself successful in your career and successful financially. Visualize yourself successful spiritually. Making visualization on every aspect of your life will help you achieve what you want faster. Then this is one of the key in the self-love process.

After practicing above process regularly, you will feel love and be loved by yourself. This will lead to the actualization process that is very rewarding to your mind.

We express our love to others so often that we some time forget to express it to our self. We some time take ourselves for grant and do not care for our existence. In this article, we talk about how to express self-love and how to enjoy life at the fullest level.

Achievement and Visualization


When was the last time do you think you have a great achievement in your life? What is it? How do you feel? What do you think are the factors that made you such a great victory? Did other people agree on it or this is your personal feeling of achievement? How do you define achievement? What has to happen in order for you to feel achieving something? Have you consciously ever used visualization to bring your success? How did you do that? To answer these questions, we need to understand the steps of achieving something. Once we master them, we can repeat the process anytime with the result we aim for.

Before going into details how to achieve what we want, let me share with you some of my experiences on the achievement. Let look at what these three events have in common.

First event: Passing entrance exam to the college. In my country, almost thirty years ago, there were not that many universities. Entering university required an examination. The chance of getting into the university is around one in ten. In some faculty, the odd went down to one to a hundred. My faculty was around one to seventy. Coming from a not very wealthy family, I decided to pass to exam since I did not want to be a small shop owner like my parents. This feeling was so strong that I did not allow other possibility. I had to succeed and I did.

Second event: Back then when I was working as a sales rep, I was assigned to deal with a difficult customer. I spent time developed business with her and the progress was not so clear. One day I talked to my boss that I was not sure on the outcome. My boss emphasized that I had already spend a lot of time with this customer and she saw the potential on the project. She ordered that it must be done since there must be no excused for such a failure at that moment. Guess what, I had it done. I happily closed the deal with this customer.

Third event: When I was the division manager with a different company, my expatriate boss was moved to other country. In order to secure his performance, he gave the ultimate order that the budget had to be met. I took his command seriously, and I finally managed to achieve my budget.

Do you have the events similar to mine? What do you think the above three circumstances have in common? Let me give you the steps that happened.

1. I got the necessity. I had a need to do something. And the need is so strong that I need to make the commitment to achieve what I was supposed to do. If the reasons behind the necessity are strong enough, we will commit wholeheartedly. This is the first step to success.

2. I made the decision to do it. When I got the order, my brain started to asked, can I do it? I didn’t know. But was it possible? Yes it was. How was it possible? Then I need to write up a plan what to do. Decision is the father of the action. When I decided to do it, nothing could deviate me from achieving what I want.

3. I massively took actions. I tried everything I could in order to make it work. I see no chance of failing. If there was no result that I wanted, I changed my approaches until I got it.

4. I persevered. I did not give up. When we decided on something and it was our commitment. It must be done.

5. I visualized. I practiced seeing my image achieving what I want.

These simple steps are the example from the real events in my life. What was your events and your strategy to achieve what you aimed for?
